There is one thing about injecting collagen, silicone, fat and anything else into your lips. You always, always, always turn out looking worse. Breast implants can make you look better. So can liposuction. So can getting your crazy Dumbo earlobes pinned to your head. But, plumping your lips up to cartoonish, Steven Tyler levels always, always makes you uglier. Naturally, celebrities haven’t caught on to that axiom yet, so they keep pumping their lips full of crap… and keep on looking worse. We found the 10 celebrities who have done the most damage to their appearances through bad lip jobs for your gasping pleasure.
10. Courtney Love
Courtney’s always had bigger lips, so we’re not sure why she felt the need to grotesquely inflate them. When she discovered plastic surgery (and grossly augmented her breasts), she also threw some work into her lips. They turned out disastrously huge.
9. Brittany Murphy
The sad thing here is that Brittany Murphy was absolutely gorgeous when she was young. She looked like Heidi Montag, just without the Jay Leno chin and awful, douchey husband. We just don’t understand why she decided to screw up her lips like this.
8. Traci Bingham
For a while, no one really noticed her bad lip job because she was so generous showing everyone her good boob job. Then everyone got burned out on seeing her topless. We they started noticing her lips. Now she’s doomed to a career of appearing on “The Surreal Life”.
7. Heidi Fleiss
Let this list be a lesson. No one’s really going to judge you if you get busted for running a gigantic prostitution ring or date (and subsequently get beat up by) Tom Sizemore. Who hasn’t done all that? We will judge the Hell out of you if you make your lips look platypus-esque.
6. Janice Dickinson
Pretty much everyone who knows of Janice Dickinson today knows her as the 95 percent plastic/100 percent bitchy ex-”America’s Next Top Model” judge. A few decades back, she was actually a model. She was an amazing looking one. Then age and collagen showed up, leaving us with this.
5. Meg Ryan
Such a shame. She was so hot in the ’90s. She got nude (during “In The Cut”) about a decade too late, and then made things even worse by doing this to her lips.
4. Melanie Griffith
It always felt like Melanie Griffith and Meg Ryan were in a competition. (Like Katy Perry and Lady GaGa, except, in the Meg/Melanie case, both participants are female.) So, congratulations, Melanie. Your lip job is more ridiculous.
3. Victoria Silvstadt
She’s one of the most famous Playmates of the Year ever. So, naturally, she went ahead and dumped a fortune into plastic surgery to ugly herself up. The comically giant lips really do the most damage.
2. Lisa Rinna
She’s really the original example of bad lip jobs. In fact, she KNOWS she owes her career to messed up lips. Earlier this year she told “People” magazine: “[In 1986] I had silicone put in my top lip not the bottom lip. [The look] made me who I am.”
1. Nikki Cox
She transformed from a model into The Joker, all because she didn’t have the sense to stop having her lips done. (Then again, her three boyfriends since she got famous were Kevin “E from Entourage” Connolly, Bobcat Goldwaith and Jay Mohr, so she’s not exactly the arbiter of taste.)
