Remember when MC Hammer started showing up in Cash4Gold ads? Well… we found a commercial today from a ’90s rapper… and this one makes Hammer’s ad look straight-up respectable.
Christopher “Kid” Reid, from Kid ‘N Play, filmed a 60-second, ultra-low budget ad for a small-time suit company called SW Suits. They’re located in Carson, California, which is a kind of an iffy suburb of Los Angeles.
We think he’s trying to be funny in the ad — “Sometimes you gotta get clean. You trying to take your lady out? Take your mother out? One of your homeboys got shot?” — but it’s pretty much impossible to laugh when all you can think is “Kid is in a local cheap suit commercial that was shot on a camcorder.”
