We’re not sure what to make of Judd Apatow’s upcoming melodramedy, Funny People (it’s about a comedian (Adam Sandler) who thinks he’s going to die for realsies). But we do know that this fake sitcom, Yo Teach!, is the bestest thing we’ve seen today.
Here is the “real” fake site on NBC for Yo Teach!, which btw, should the Peacock Network really be pretending to air shows that are potentially more popular than its actual programming? Rhetorical!
Jason Schwartzman (who co-stars in Funny People; hence this plotline) is the teach. Young upstart comedian Bo Burnham plays a rapping student. But who’s that as the principal? Well, if it isn’t the guy (Ernest Thomas) who played Roger “Raj” on the 1970s sitcom, What’s Happening!! Now…where’s Rerun?
