Someone wise once told us to beware of false idols. And it wasn’t while watching American Idol, although that’s an apt a place to start as anywhere we suppose.
Because our contemporary culture has somehow decided to reward just about anyone and everyone who wants to become a celebrity. And. That’s. Just. Not. Right. Our tabloid TV shows and magazines reward these people who are famous for being famous, and follow the intimate details of everyone else who has actually done something to become famous. Which means we here at Hollywood Fail will have no shortage of news, photos, videos and stupid things that come out of the spinning celebrity vortex.
Which is not to say that we have hard feelings (ahem) for Hugh Grant (pictured above in what must have seemed like a simpler time, before we had a gabillion different Internetters spreading the bad news that he got caught by the LAPD with a prostitute on his ding-dong). After all, who doesn’t like sex? That’s probably a good question for Hollywood Fail to answer someday.
